It was the end of the school day and Valgaindar was walking home. Today wasn’t a good day for him so he thought to himself.
Valgaindar: Man, I hate my school. Those stupid bullies are always picking on me. I didn’t even do anything to them.
Valgaindar:(sighing) Man my life isn’t going well and my 10-year-old brother ain’t helping. Sloger always goes in my room and wrecks it.
While Valgaindar talked to himself, he wandered into an area he had never been before.
Valgaindar: Oh great…Dang it, I was so busy talking to myself that I just noticed that this isn’t my street. But where am I?
Valgaindar looked to the left and saw a sign that said: DoReMi: Magical Shop that had musical notes on it. While walking slowly toward the shop he was three girls talking and walking towards the magic shop. Valgaindar stopped, watched and tried to listen as the girls approached the shop.

While Valgaindar tried to listen as the girls carried on a conversation with one another.
Dorie: Man, I’m running out of spell drops. I wish my items would sell better.
Reanne: How many do you have left?
Mirabelle:(teasingly) Knowing Dorie, she tried to make some steaks. Then they would vanish before her eyes.
Reanne and Mirabelle started laughing at the joke.
Dorie:(slightly mad) Ha-ha, very funny. Oh and Rey, I only have 4 left in my Magical Wandaler.
Valgaindar:(though to himself) Sell props and magic wandel-whats. What are they talking about?
Reanne:(looking at Valgaindar) Hey look over there at that boy. I think he was listening to us, we better keep it down

Revisions & Trivia
In the G.E.M.M.S series, Valgaindar name is updated to Valganer. Probably to avoid being a mouthful to say.
Want to say Valgaindar originated from the recently created Ryno n’ tha Hood draft(s). If so, the use of this name here may be proof that this was written after that series.
The title; New Wiz on the Block, is something we came up with while making this post; 7/16/23, as this 2-pager didn’t originally have a name.
This was from the pre-“learning Magical DoReMi was the western version of the anime Ojamajo Doremi.” Thus using the dub names.
Seems like the name Sloger would be carried over to the Elementz series as he was one of the many children of Maylene and Gwelle starting in rev3 just a few years after this fan-fic.
Despite this little story not going anywhere, we actually expounded on the wizardling story in the G.E.M.M.S series. Some noticeable story beats being:
Valganer was apart of a trio know as ValAnNo. The other wizardlings were Andreo and Ryan.
Interesting, Andreo was a play on our name and Ryan was probably the precursor to Ryon(erome) name in the early Elementz series.
- Lutrino was the Wizard mentor of the boy like Patina was to the girls. We never explored if he too was turn into a little green blob.
- Lutrino fairy was known as Airyleo. He naturally contrasted Lorelei.
- The king of the Wizards was known as King Solaro to contrast Queen Lumina.
- The boys had staffaswirls to contrast the girl Wandawhirls
They capture a groblin in Musascal, which was some type of art gallery.
The boy had their lines sandwich in between the girls “Perfect Harmony” spell being:
- After Dorie: Valganer says “With the special help of you and me.”
- After Reanne: Andreo says “Together we have the power to be.”
- After Mirabelle: Ryan says “We unlock the magical keys.”
We edited Mirabelle’s line to be “And more magic two times three” instead of “which all the magic power of three.”
