…
Here, in the depths of our consciousness, surrounded by our thoughts, our ideals & our perception about ourselves amongst other things.
…
Who are they?
They are us and we are them.
However, if you want to be more specific, they were the result of how we’ve coped with the hardships in our life. A subjective split of our persona.
Naturally, they are like two kindred spirits, the two halves coming together within the sea of our soul, unifying to become the true self.
…
Though that wasn’t always the case.
They were raised & encouraged to fit certain molds for as long as they can remember. Any of which that has felt rather unnatural to them.
Despite having to deal with the harsh reality of life while being separated from a key part of themselves, when left to their own devices, they felt an unknown deep connection from within that had no issue expressing itself when they harmonized.
They would come to embody our pessimism and realism as well as our volatility and creativity for the most part.
They, on the other hand, didn’t know how to be themselves in the various environments they grew up in. Fearing further unknowns, they would ultimately descend into the depth of their own consciousness as a way of seeking solace.
From that point on, they would always be reaching out & harmonizing with their other half from the haven within… Shaping their own being from the subconscious until adolescence… Biding their time to rekindle…to be complete.
Strangely, in time, they would come to embody our optimism and boundless imagination along with the willingness to experience new things despite our anxiety.
Due to these circumstances, an ever-fluctuating imbalance would be experienced at every stage of our lives.
The true self, never able to naturally manifest, never able to develop at a healthy pace.
…
It has only been in recent years that both halves have been able to somewhat assuage the dysphoria of the other.
To say things became rather turbulent during our years as a young adult would downplay its severity.
Though in retrospect, this would be necessary for them to come to terms with the source of their asynchrony.
It was just unfortunate that they hurt not only themselves but those they cared about as well as those who cared for them along the way.
We should be grateful they were able to rekindle those relationships.
But we guess it’s true what they say, “time heals all wounds” & “what doesn’t kill you will make you stronger”. Though if you ask us, we’d insert a “should” in both of those phrases.
Thankfully they endured and we are the result of the peace, balance & understanding they have fostered. They…We are finally, to a degree…able to live according to our nature.
-sigh-
In a perfect world, they wouldn’t exist.
Why? Well if they were never separated, we would have truly been who we always knew we were from the start.
…
It’s rather bittersweet really. Sensing how they have interrelated over the years. Feeling and understanding those experiences when they unify; both good and bad, all for the sake of finding their place in this crazy world.
…
In time they may cease to exist as we come to terms with our inner peace.
We can feel sorry for ourselves but we are all ultimately the same. Nothing is truly being lost.
Alas, regardless of our state of mind, only one can exist at the seat of our consciousness.

Well now, listen to us ramble on. Our mind is ever-restless. If we don’t distract ourselves, we’ll develop quite the headache.
Well, time to return to our many projects from within our Veil. Also need to take care of all the relationships in our life; both intra- and interpersonal.
Even though we’re still rather inept at it, we have to continue to grow and adapt, to remain fluid in the face of adversity. We’ve learnt that from both them and others afterall. Right?…
